Anthea Holloway was guest of honour at the 2009 Thatchers Wassail. Taking time out to enter the recent competition run on our Thatchers Gold website,
Anthea was delighted to hear that she was the lucky recipient of an evening at our annual Wassail celebrations.
A teacher from Dorset, Anthea was accompanied at the Wassail by her husband John. Both lovers of cider, they were delighted to have the chance to visit Thatchers Myrtle Farm, and during the evening sample a variety of different styles of bottled and draught ciders.
After the tradit
ional Wassail activities encouraging a bumper apple crop - of singing, mulled cider, Morris dancing and the crowning of the Wassail Queen, guests enjoyed an evening of entertainment from Elegant Entertainment and The Wurzels.
