“This light and fruity number will make the perfect aperitif on a spring day,” said Antony Worral Thompson writing in the Saturday Express lifestyle magazine.
The respected chef chose Thatchers Katy Rosé to accompany his all-English St George’s Day menu of Rib of Beef with Yorkshire Puddings.
“If you like cider but want something just a little bit different, then how about trying Thatchers Katy Rosé,” he wrote.
Katy Rosé is a new pink cider that has the appearance of a rosé wine but the light and fruity taste of a contemporary cider.
Writing in the Bristol Evening Post, drinks writer and food critic Mark Taylor also said:
“It’s a refreshing drink full of apple flavour and the bottle is stylish enough to grace any dinner table. Pour it into a wine glass or champagne flute and this is destined to be one of the must-have aperitifs of the summer.
“Pure genius.”
Katy Rosé is available on-line at www.thatcherscider.co.uk, and from Sainsbury’s nationwide from 24th May.
